This is a proof of concept for a ticket event system using QR codes & a scanner.

The technology used is: Advanced Custom Fields (Creating Events), Fluent Forms (Form submission), OneSimpleAPI (Creating QR Code) & nimiq/qr-scanner (GitHub)

The idea is you could create an event website using ACF which includes ticket limits & unique qr codes. When you go to scan, it will either approve, deny or return null, depending on if the QR code has already been used/scanned and if it’s a valid ticket.

You can test this yourself by booking a ticket and then checking your email and scanning the QR code on the Scan Tickets Page. You must have 2 devices to be able to test the scanning part (1 of the devices must have a camera)
